FREE Healthcare November 8 in Buchanan County!
(Wise, Va.) – The Health Wagon, in conjunction with Appalachia College of Pharmacy (ACP) and Native Botanicals/K&K Natural Products is bringing the first-ever Appalachian Community Health Fair to Oakwood, Va. Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 9 am – 5 pm at the Appalachia College of Pharmacy (ACP) at their Oakwood campus. The day-long event is dedicated to providing free, comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families across Buchanan County and the surrounding region.
The event will bring together a wide network of community partners, including regional universities and colleges, healthcare professionals, and civic organizations. Together, they are uniting to expand access to care and address health disparities in Central Appalachia.
“The Health Wagon is delighted to bring these free healthcare services to Buchanan County for the first time ever,” said Health Wagon CEO Teresa Tyson, DNP, FNP-BC, President and CEO. “The need is so great, and we will be able to provide so many services
to the people in this region. We encourage everyone who needs any type of medical assistance to come out and see us Saturday, November 8.”
“We are very excited for The Health Wagon Team to be coming to our area and offering their services to our community members who need it the most, “said Edward J. Fletcher, President/COO, Native Botanicals, Inc.
“We have been working with our partners and customers to find the best way we can ‘give back’ to our workers, independent contractors and families, and I believe this is it! These various health care services are not readily available in this area, so we are very pleased to be collaborating with The Health Wagon and The Appalachian College of Pharmacy to bring them to the people.” Fletcher said.
