Mobile Clinics
ABOUT OUR MOBILE CLINICS

When Sister Bernie was driving her Beetle around Southwest Virginia and delivering health care to the area’s residents decades ago, she probably never expected the Health Wagon’s outreach to grow as much as it has. Today, the Health Wagon visits 13 sites in Southwest Virginia and operates three stationary clinics.
Thanks to our partners and your generous support, the Health Wagon is able to offer primary, specialty, dental, and vision care to the medically underserved residents of rural Appalachia free of charge. In 2021, the Health Wagon served 10,857 unduplicated patients and documented over 32,250 visits/encounters.

The Health Wagon visits 13 sites in Southwest Virginia’s Buchanan, Dickenson, Lee, Russell, Scott, and Wise counties on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis.
