The Health Wagon’s leaders, Dr. Teresa Tyson, president and CEO, and Dr. Paula Hill-Collins, clinical director, were interviewed recently on The Slate’s podcast, “Death, Sex, & Money.”  

Host Anna Sale talked in-depth with Dr. Tyson, DNP, MSN, FNP-BC, FAANP, and Dr. Hill-Collins, DNP, FNP-BC, PPCNP-BC, FAANP, about their backgrounds and how they see their roles as trustworthy leaders of the Health Wagon. 

“When we’re engaging with patients, they have to see our heart, they have to see the compassion that Paula and I and our other providers show them,” Teresa said during the interview. “We hug our patients, we cry with our patients, we pray with our patients, so that when we tell them news that maybe they don’t want to hear, I think we continue that trust.” 

Paula added, “And I would say at least two or three times a week, I hear patients say the words to me, ‘I know you care about me’.”
