Jesus Strong award presented in Honor of Paul David Hill by Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) Program to Ryan Roberts

The Health Wagon was honored to be invited to participate in the S3DA 1st annual presentation of the Jesus Strong Award established in the honor of Paul David Hill. Young archer Ryan Roberts of Cedar Bluff, Va. was presented the award Sept 15, 2025 during the S3DA annual awards program held in Castlewood, Va.

David Hill lived courageously demonstrating perseverance and determination in the face of life’s challenges. The Southwest Virginia S3DA program chose Ryan Roberts as recipient of this award, a young archer who will be competing in national archery competitions.  “This young man loves the Lord and playing gospel music with his family he is committed to the Lord.” He is humble, kind, and a friend to all. He has unshakable faith and commitment to not only his friends but to this Savior,” said Crystal Hubert-Winebarger, coordinator for the Regional S3DA program

The Jesus Strong Award seeks to acknowledge individuals who value faith, resilience, service, and dedication to others; just as Paul David Hill did.

  1. Unshakable Faith – Demonstrates a steadfast commitment to their faith in Jesus Christ, living out their beliefs through actions, words, and an unwavering trust in God’s plan.
  2. Resilience in Adversity – Overcomes life’s challenges with grace, courage, and determination, serving as an inspiration to others facing their own struggles.
  3. Commitment to Service – Actively seeks to serve others selflessly, whether through ministry, community outreach, or personal acts of kindness, always striving to make a positive impact.
  4. Lifelong Learner – Pursues knowledge with passion and purpose, using any obstacle as a foundation to build and grow.

“Paul David Hill created the first denture fund at the Health Wagon selling Jesus strong T-shirts. He was a shining example of courage and perseverance inspiring all around him with his unwavering determination to overcome life’s challenges. His faith was his foundation, and he found great purpose in volunteering at the Health Wagon. He was instrumental in forming the first traumatic brain injury group for the Health Wagon, using his experiences to support and uplift others facing familiar struggles,” said Dr. Teresa Tyson, DNP, FNP-BC, CEO/President.

“David was determined and showed us all live life with purpose and always wore a smile,” said Dr. Jennifer Hammons, Pharm D who helped present this first annual award.

“I am humbled and my brother would be thrilled with this award. Congratulations to Ryan Roberts,” said Dr. Paula Hill-Collins, DNP, sister of Paul David Hill and Clinical Director of the Health Wagon.
