$500K federal grant coming to Clintwood for health clinic

CLINTWOOD, Va. — The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) approved a $500,000 grant to be given to the Health Wagon for the construction of a health clinic in Clintwood, U.S. Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-VA) announced Tuesday.Plans for the clinic include spaces for medical, dental, vision care, x-ray, telehealth, pharmacy, and laboratory services. The Dickenson County Industrial Development Authority donated the land that the clinic will be built on.

The ARC’s $500,000 grant is in addition to $730,600 provided for the project by local sources.
