LENOWISCO HEALTH DISTRICT (Virginia Department of Health): Licensed dentists provide public health dental services which include diagnostic, preventive, and restorative treatment to eligible children in each county. No routine dental work for adults can be accommodated. Adults must be a permanent resident of the county in which emergency treatment is given and bring proof of income to the appointment. Emergency adult indigent dental care is provided by appointment only and is provided as time permits, as preventative dentistry for children is the clinic priority. Call your local health department:

VIRGINIA MEDICAID: The Smiles For Children program (1-888-912-3456, DentaQuest) provides coverage for diagnostic, preventive, restorative and surgical procedures, as well as orthodontia services for Medicaid, FAMIS and FAMIS Plus children. The program also provides coverage for limited medically necessary oral surgery services for adults (age 21 and older).
